Pullover in Fancy Pattern

Materials:

Yarn: 260 g of cotton and silk in pink and 260 g of rough semidense cotton in pink; one pair knit needles size 5 mm (US 8).

Work with double strand.

Rib Pattern: K1, P1 Rib.

Fancy Pattern:

Work according to chart. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts and yos P.

Repeat Rows 1-12 throughout.

Gauge:

in Fancy Pattern: 10 cm = 12 sts. 

Back:

Cast on 60 sts and work 4 cm in Rib Patt.

Cont to work in Fancy Pattern acc to chart, beg and end row with K3. 

When piece measures 59 cm from cast on, bind off sts loosely.

Front:

Work like back, but with neckline.

To do that, when piece measures 54 cm from cast on, bind off center 12 sts and complete both sides separately.

For rounding at inside edge bind off 3 sts once and 2 sts twice on every 2nd row.   

When piece measures 59 cm from beg, bind off remaining 17 sts on either side for shoulders.

Sleeves:

Cast on 26 sts and work 4 cm in Rib Patt.

Cont as foll: K4, 1 patt rep in Fancy Pattern, K4. 

Sleeve Slant: On Row 7 from rib, inc 1 stitch at each end, then 1 st 9 times on every 6th row = 46 sts. 

When piece measures 56 cm from cast on, bind off sts loosely.

Finishing:

Sew one shoulder seam. 

Neckband: Pick up 54 sts evenly around neck edge and work 4 cm in Rib Patt. Then bind off all sts as they appear.

Sew second shoulder seam including neckband.

Sew side seams leaving 20 cm open at top for armholes. 

Set in sleeves. Make sure center aligns with shoulder seam.
