Polo Necked Lace Pullover

Sizes: M/L

Materials: 

Yarn: 300 g (95% Cotton, 5% Lurex, yardage = 500 m/100 g); 1 pair quick knit needles and one circular needle, both size 3 mm (US 2.5).

Gauge: 18 sts and 21 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back:

Cast on 87 sts and work in pattern acc to chart (= 5 reps + 2 selv sts). 

Armhole Shaping: When piece measures 32 cm from beg, at each end bind off 4 sts, then 3 sts once and 1 st once on every 2nd row = 71 sts.

Neckline Shaping: After 48 cm from beg, bind off center 19 sts and complete both sides separately. 

For rounding at inside edge on every 2nd row bind off 4 sts once and 3 sts once. 

When piece measures 51 cm from beg, bind off rem 19 sts each side for shoulders.

Front: 

Work as given for back, but for the neck shaping, after 44 cm from beg, bind off center 17 sts and complete both sides separately.

For rounding at inside edge on every 2nd row bind off 3 sts once, 2 sts twice and 1 st once. 

When piece measures 51 cm from beg, bind off rem 19 sts each side for shoulders.

Sleeves: 

Cast on 53 sts and work in pattern acc to chart  18 (= 3 reps + 2 selv sts). 

Sleeve Shaping: Inc 1 stitch every 18th row 4 times at each end = 61 sts.

Cap Shaping: After 46 from beg, at each end bind off 4 sts, then 2 sts once, 1 stitch 14 times and 2 sts once on every 2nd row.

When piece measures 63 cm from beg, bind off rem 17 sts. 

Finishing: 

Sew shoulder seams. 

Collar: With circular needle, pick up 85 sts from RS around neck edge, turn, and work from WS in rnds in patt acc to chart (= 5 reps).

On even-numbered rnds, knit.

After 14 cm from beg, bind off sts loosely.

Sew side and sleeve seams. Set in sleeves.
