Oversized Pullover in Half Brioche Stitch

Size: M

Materials:

Yarn: 600 g (50% Wool, 50% Acrylic, yardage = 240 m/100 g); one pair quick knit needles and one circular needle, both size 5 mm (US 8).

Half Brioche Stitch: 

Work according to chart 1. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.

Work rows 1-116 once, then rep rows 115-116. 

Rib Pattern: *K3, P3, rep from * throughout.

Sleeve Pattern: 

Work according to chart 2. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear. 

Work rows 1-74 once, then rep rows 73-74 throughout.

Brioche st: K1, insert needle 1 row below

Back: 

Cast on 95 sts and work in Half Brioche Stitch. 

When piece measures 60 cm from cast on, bind off all sts.

Front: 

Work like back, but with neckline.

When piece measures 55 cm from cast on, bind off center 25 sts and complete both sides separately.

For rounding at inside edge bind off 2 sts twice and 1 st once on every 2nd row. 

When piece measures 60 cm from beg, bind off all sts.

Sleeves: 

Cast on 35 sts and work in Sleeve Patt. 

Sleeve Shaping: Inc sts in the middle acc to chart.

Cont to work Rows 73-74.

When piece measures 48 cm from beg, bind off all sts.

Finishing: 

Sew shoulder seams.

Sew side seams. Leave 18 cm open for armhole.

Sew sleeve seams and set in sleeves.

Neck Band: With circular needle, pick up sts evenly around neck edge and work 1 rnd P. Then work in Rib Patt.

Cont until band meas 14-18 cm. Bind off all sts.

Fold band in half to inside and sew in place.
