Long Pullover with Lace Cables

Size: 14/16

Materials:

Yarn: 300 g (40% mohair, 60% acrylic, yardage = 500m / 100 g); 1 pair quick knit needles and one circular needle, both size 3.5 mm (US 4).

Collar Pattern in rnds:

Work according to chart 2. Only RS rows are shown.

On even rows, work all sts as they appear.

Gauge: 24 sts and 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Back:

Cast on 133 sts and distribute sts as foll: selv st, P1, K2, P2, rep 9 x (K4, P9), K4, P2, K2, selv st.

From Row 3 work acc to chart 1 (5 patt reps + 2 selv sts).

Armhole Shaping: After 45 cm from beg, bind off at each end 7 sts, then on every 2nd row 3 sts once, 2 sts once, 1 st twice = 105 sts.

Neckline Shaping: When work meas 64 cm from beg, bind off centre 27 sts and complete both sides separately.

For rounding at inside edge on every 2nd row, bind off 3 sts once and 2 sts twice.

When piece measures 67 cm from beg, bind off rem 32 shoulder sts.

Front:

Cast on 133 sts and вistribute sts same as back.

From Row 3 cont as foll: in every patt rep work 9 sts P, work cable crossing over k4 acc to chart 1 and join patt on either side (first, 9 sts beside selv sts and then every 20 rows foll 13 sts) as far as pattern joint in the center.

When work meas 60 cm from beg, bind off centre 19 sts and complete both sides separately.

For rounding at inside edge on every 2nd row, bind off 3 sts once, 2 sts 3 times and 1 st twice.

When piece measures 67 cm from beg, bind off rem 32 shoulder sts.

Sleeves:

Cast on 53 sts and distribute sts as foll: selv st, P4, rep 3 x (K4, P9), K4, P4, selv st.

From Row 3 cont as foll: in every patt rep work 9 sts P, every K4 work cable crossing acc to chart 1.

When piece measures 16 cm from beg, join sts into patt acc to chart 1 same as front.

For the sleeve shaping, after 10 cm from beg, inc 1st on each side on every 4th row 10 times and on every 2nd row 20 times = 113 sts.

Cap Shaping: When piece measures 46 cm from beg, bind off at each end on every 2nd row 7 sts once, 3 sts once, 2 sts once, 1 st 12 times, 2 sts twice, 3 sts twice, 5 sts twice and rem 25 sts once.

Finishing:

Join shoulder seams.

Collar: With circular needles, cast on 104 sts from RS around neck edge and work 14 rnds in Collar Pattern (= 8 reps).

Then work 6 rows in St st and bind off sts.

Sew side and sleeve seams. Set in sleeves.
