How to Knit a Lace Top with Leaf Yoke
Size: 38 (US size M/8)
Materials:
200 g of yarn Nako Lady; knitting needles: size 4.5 mm (US size 7 / UK size 7); crochet hook: size 3 mm (US size D-3 / UK size 11)
Stockinette stitch: knit on right side rows, purl on wrong side rows.
Back:
Cast on 78 stitches and work in stockinette stitch.
After reaching a length of 38 cm, begin shaping the armholes by decreasing 1 stitch on each side every other row, a total of 21 times.
Continue knitting until the total height is 57 cm, then bind off.
Front:
Begin at the neckline.
Work 5 chain stitches and join to form a ring.
Into each ring, crochet 7 single crochet stitches.
Arrange the stitches as follows: (knit 1, yarn over) 6 times, end with knit 1.
Work following the first chart.
Starting from row 27, decrease 1 stitch on each side every other row, a total of 23 times.
After completing the first chart, continue with the remaining stitches using the second chart until finished.
The front measures 32 cm in length.
Sleeves:
Cast on 60 stitches and work following the second chart.
For the sleeve caps, decrease 1 stitch on each side every other row, a total of 23 times.
When the length reaches 15 cm, bind off.
Neckline Finishing:
Crochet one round of single crochet around the neckline.
In the next round, skip 1 stitch, make 1 double crochet into the next stitch, then work a picot (3 chain stitches joined into a loop with a slip stitch) on top of each double crochet.
Then skip 1 stitch and repeat the sequence.
Work the same edging around the sleeve openings and the bottom edge of the top.
