Lace Pullover in Fancy Pattern

Sizes: M/L

Materials:

3 hanks of yarn (100% Mercerized Cotton, 500 m per hank); 1 pair quick knit needles size 5 mm (US 8).  

The pullover is worked with double strand.

Rib Pattern: K1 tbl, P1.

Stocking stitch (St st): work RS rows K and WS rows P.

Fancy Pattern: 

Work according to chart.

On WS rows, work all sts and yos P.

Repeat Rows 1-8 throughout.

Gauge: 

over St st: 16 sts and 19 rows = 10 x 10 cm. 

Back: 

Cast on 73 sts and work in Rib Patt.  

After 3 cm from beg, cont in Fancy Pattern. For side slants, at both ends dec 1 st 4 times on every 10th row, work 12 rows, then at both ends inc 1 st twice on every 12th row. 

Armhole Shaping: When piece measures 44 cm from cast on, at each end bind off 3 sts once, 2 sts once and 1 stitch once on every 2nd row.  

Neckline Shaping: After 17 cm from armhole beg, bind off center 18 sts and complete each side separately. At neckline edge, bind off 4 sts once and 3 sts once on every 2nd row.  

When work measures 20 cm from armhole beg, bind off all sts. 

Rep for other side.

Front: Work same as back. 

Neckline Shaping: After 10 cm from armhole beg, bind off center 18 sts and complete each side separately. At neckline edge, bind off 3 sts twice and 1 st once on every 2nd row. 

When work measures 20 cm from armhole beg, bind off all sts. 

Rep for other side. 

Sleeves:

Cast on 48 sts and work in Rib Patt.  

After 3 cm from beg, on next row inc evenly 5 sts and cont in Fancy Pattern. At each end, inc 1 st twice on every 8th row.

Cap Shaping: When piece measures 12 cm from cast on, at each end bind off 3 sts once, 2 sts once, 1 stitch once and 2 sts 7 times on every 2nd row. 

Then bind off remaining sts. 

Rep for other sleeve.

Finishing:

Sew one shoulder seam and side seams. 

Pick up 82 sts evenly around neck edge and work 3 rows in Rib Patt. 

Sew second shoulder seam including neckband. 

Sew sleeve seams and set in sleeves.
