Lace Pattern Tunic

Size: L

Materials: 

Yarn: 400 g (55% Cotton, 45% Acrylic, yardage = 330 m/100 g); 1 pair quick knit needles and dpns, both size 3 mm (US 2.5).

Garter st: RS and WS rows K.

Lace Pattern: 

Work acc to сhart. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.

Gauge:

over gst: 19 sts and 48 rows = 10 x 10 сm.

The tunic consists of 2 pieces: front and back. 

Arrows in pattern indicate how pieces are worked.

Front: 

Cast on 69 sts and work in Lace Pattern.

Neckline Shaping: After 54 cm from beg, bind off center 23 sts, then, at both ends of them, bind off 1 st 10 times on every 2nd row. 

When piece measures 63 cm, bind off rem 13 sts each side for shoulders. 

Then pick up 110 sts evenly along right edge, 1 corner st, 67 sts along bottom edge, 1 corner st, 110 sts along left edge. 

Work in gst. Make 3 sts (K1, 1 yo, K1) out of corner st on every RS row. 

At the same time, at both ends work last 2 sts tog on every 8th row for shoulder slant. 

After 44 rows from beg, bind off all sts.

Back: 

Work same as front, but for neckline after 59 cm from beg, bind off center 23 sts, then, at both ends of them, bind off 1 st 5 times on every 2nd row.

Finishing: 

Sew shoulder and side seams leaving slits on the sides. 

With double-pointed needles, pick up 96 sts evenly around neck edge and work 10 rows in gst. Bind off all sts. 

For sleeve band, cast on 12 sts and work 150 rows in garter st. 

Rep for other band. 

Sew on bands.
