How to make the lace pullover with knitting needles:
Sizes: EU 34/36 (38/40) 44/46 = US 4/6 (8/10) 14/16 = UK 6/8 (10/12) 16/18.
Materials:
300 (350) 400 g of yarn (100% cotton, 150 m/50 g); knitting needles 2.5 mm and 3 mm (EU sizes) = US 1.5 and 2.5.
Ribbing Pattern (worked with size 2.5 mm needles): K1, P1 ribbing.
Lace Pattern (worked with size 3 mm needles): Number of stitches is a multiple of 18 + 1 + 2 edge stitches.
Work according to the chart. The chart shows only right-side rows.
On wrong-side rows, work stitches as they appear and purl any yarn-over loops.
Begin with 1 edge stitch and the stitches before the repeat, repeat the 18-stitch pattern, and end with the stitches after the repeat and 1 edge stitch.
Work rows 1–4 once, then repeat rows 5–32 throughout.
All pieces are worked from top to bottom.
When increasing or decreasing, make sure that the number of yarn overs equals the number of stitches worked together.
Gauge: 23.5 sts and 35 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Back:
Cast on 93 (111) 129 sts and work in lace pattern.
For the armholes, after 17 cm = 60 rows (20 cm = 70 rows) 21 cm = 74 rows from the cast-on edge, increase 9 sts at each side = 111 (129) 147 sts.
For the lower band, after 52 cm = 182 rows (56.5 cm = 198 rows) 56.5 cm = 198 rows, work 1.5 cm in ribbing and bind off all sts.
Front: Work the same as for the back.
Sleeves:
Cast on 81 (93) 97 sts and work in lace pattern as follows: 1 edge st, 3 (9) 2 sts before the repeat, repeat the 18-st pattern, end with 4 (10) 3 sts after the repeat and 1 edge st.
At the same time, for sleeve shaping, starting 4 cm = 14 rows from the cast-on edge, decrease on both sides: 2 (6) 6 times every 2nd row, 3 (4) 4 times every 4th row, 5 (6) 6 times every 6th row, and 6 (3) 3 times every 10th row = 49 (55) 59 sts.
For the cuff, after 36 cm = 126 rows (32.5 cm = 114 rows) 32.5 cm = 114 rows, work 1.5 cm in ribbing and bind off all sts.
Finishing:
Sew the shoulder seams, leaving the center 22 cm open for the neckline.
Sew side and sleeve seams, and set in the sleeves.
