Jacket with Cables

Size: 12 (US 10)

Materials: 

Yarn: 300 g (70% Wool, 30% Acrylic); one circular needle size 3 mm (US 2.5); seven buttons.

Rib Pattern: alt K1, P1. 

Cable Pattern:

Work acc to сhart 1. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.

Repeat Rows 1-40 throughout.

Band Pattern: 

Work acc to сhart 2. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.

Repeat Rows 1-8 throughout.

Back: 

Cast on 102 sts and work 6 cm in Rib Patt. 

Cont to work in Cable Pattern. 

When piece meas 67 cm, bind off all sts.

Left Front: 

Cast on 58 cm and work as foll: 45 sts in Rib Patt, 12 last sts in Band Pattern, selv st.

After 6 cm, work sts of Rib Pattern in Cable Pattern.

Neckline Shaping: When piece measures 55 cm from cast on, at end of every RS row bind off 8 sts once, 4 sts once, 2 sts twice, 1 st 6 times. 

When piece measures 67 cm from cast on, bind off all sts.

Right Front: Work in reverse. 

Work 7 buttonholes evenly spaced on buckle band.

Sleeves: 

Cast on 50 sts and work 6 cm in Rib Pattern. 

Cont to work in Cable Pattern. 

Sleeve Shaping: Inc 1st each end of every 9th RS row 12 times. 

When piece measures 49 cm from cast on, bind off sts.

Finishing: 

Close shoulder seams.

Sew side and sleeve seams. Set in sleeves.

Neckband: Pick up sts evenly around neck edge and work in Rib Pattern.

Cont until band meas 3 cm. Bind off all sts.

Sew on buttons.
