Dress with Leaf Pattern

Size: S-M 

Materials: 

Yarn: 300 g (60% Cotton, 40% Acrylic, yardage = 150 m/50 g), 1 pair of knit needle size 3.5 mm (US 4), crochet hook size 2 mm (US B).

Garter st (gst): RS and WS rows K.

Stockinette stitch (St st): Work RS rows K and WS rows P.

Leaf Pattern: 

Work according to chart 1. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.

Stripes Pattern: Foll Chart 2.

Gauge: 21 sts and 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Front: 

Cast on 134 sts and work as foll: selv st, 6 sts in St st, * 21 sts in Leaf Pattern, 12 sts in St st, rep 3 times from *, 21 sts in Leaf Pattern, 6 sts in St st, selv st. 

Dec 1 st for narrowing on St st stripes between Leaf Patterns. 

First, dec sts after 22 rows from cast on (work 2 edge k sts on the left tog). 

After 22 rows from first dec, work 2 edge sts on the right tog and so on (see picture). 

When piece measures 68 cm from beg, there should be 110 sts on the needle. 

For waist shaping, on foll row, dec 41 sts evenly spaced across = 69 sts. 

Work 12 rows in garter st. 

Then work as foll: selv st, P4, * 3 sts in Stripes Pattern, P5, rep from * 8 times, P4, selv st. 

Armhole Shaping: When piece measures 12 cm from cast on, at both ends bind off 3 sts once, 2 sts once and 1 st 3 times on every 2nd row. 

Neckline Shaping: When piece measures 6 cm from armhole beg, bind off center 19 sts and complete both sides separately. 

For rounding at inside edge bind off 1 st once on foll 2nd row.

Work 19 cm more and bind off all sts.

Back: Work same as front.

Finishing: 

Sew shoulder seams.

Sew side seams.

Neck Border: Work according to crochet chart.
