Dress with Lace Diamonds

Materials:

Yarn: 500 g (90% acrylic, 10% nylon, yardage = 245 m/100 g); one circular needle size 3 mm (US 2.5).

Rib Pattern: K2, P2 Rib.

Lace Diamonds Pattern: 

Work according to chart. Chart only shows odd-numbered rnds.

On even-numbered rnds, work all sts as they appear; work yos K or as indicated.

Gauge:

in Diamond Pattern: 27 sts and 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Integrally-knitted body: 

With circular needle size 3 mm, cast on 240 sts (= 8 patt reps) and join to work in rnds, then work 12 rnds in Rib Patt.

Then work 158 rows in Diamond Pattern (= 3 row reps) and divide work in half.

Back (over 120 sts):

Work 96 more rows in Diamond Pattern (= 2 row reps) and bind off sts.

Front (over 120 sts):

Work 71 rows in Diamond Pattern (= 1.5 row reps).

Neck Shaping: On Row 230 from rib, bind off center 30 sts and on either side of them 1 stitch 10 times every other row. 

On Row 255 from rib, bind off rem 35 sts each side for shoulders.

Sleeves: 

Sew shoulder seams. 

With circular needle size 3 mm, pick up 152 sts along armhole edge (= 5 patt reps + 2 selv sts).

Then work 96 rows in Diamond Pattern (= 2 row reps).

Sleeve Shaping: Bind off 1 stitch every 2nd row 43 times at each end = 66 sts.

Work 14 rows in Rib Pattern and bind off all sts.

Finishing:

Sew side and sleeve seams.

Neckband: With circular needle, pick up 104 sts evenly around neck edge and work 6 rnds in Rib Patt. Then bind off all sts as they appear.
