Center Lace Panel Top

Size: 10 (US 8).

Materials:

Yarn: 300 g (100% Bamboo, 125 m/50 g); 1 pair quick-knit needles size US 2,5 (3 mm) and crochet hook size US C (2,5 mm). 

Garter stitch (gst): Knit on RS and WS rows.

Stockinette stitch (St st): work RS rows K and WS rows P.

Lace Pattern:

Work according to chart. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows work all sts and yo's P.

Row 1: edge st, k5, k2tog (= knit 2 stitches together), yo (yarn over), k2, k2tog, yo, k5, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, k4, k2tog, yo, k2, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, skpo (= slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch), k3, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, k3, k2tog, yo, k2, k2tog, yo, k3, yo, skpo, k2, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, k2, k2tog, yo, k2, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, skpo, k2, yo, skpo, k1, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, k1, k2tog, yo, k2, k2tog, yo, k3, yo, skpo, k2, yo, skpo, edge st.

Row 11: edge st, k2tog, yo, skpo, k2, yo, skpo, yo, k2tog, yo, k2, k2tog, yo, k2, edge st.

Row 13: edge st, k2, yo, skpo, k2, yo, k3tog (= knit 3 stitches together), yo, k2, k2tog, yo, k3, edge st.

Row 15: edge st, k3, yo, skpo, k1, k2tog, yo, k2, k2tog, yo, k4, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-16 throughout.

Back:

Cast on 80 sts and work 2 rows in garter st.

Continue to work in Stockinette stitch.

Armhole shaping: When piece measures 33 cm from beg, bind off at both ends 4 sts, then on every 2nd row 2 sts once and 1 st twice.

When piece measures 55 cm from beg, bind off all sts.

Front:

Cast on 80 sts and work 2 rows in garter st.

Cont as foll: edge st, 31 sts in St st, 16 sts in Lace Patt, 31 sts in St st, edge st.

Armhole shaping: When piece measures 33 cm from beg, bind off at both ends 4 sts, then on every 2nd row 2 sts once and 1 st twice.

For the Neck Shaping, after 39 cm from beg, bind off center 20 sts and complete both sides separately.

Bind off on every 2nd row 1 st 10 times at neck edge for inner rounding.

When piece measures 55 cm from beg, bind off remaining sts each side for shoulders.

Complete to match first side of neck, reversing all shaping.

Sleeves:

Cast on 70 sts and cont as foll: edge st, 2 sts in St st, 64 sts (work rep 4 times) in Lace Patt, 2 sts in St st, edge st.

After 16 rows from beg, work in St st.

After 18 rows from beg, bind off for sleeve cap at each end 4 sts once, then on every 2nd row 2 sts once, 1 st 17 times, 2 sts once, 3 sts once and 4 sts once. Bind off remaining sts each side for shoulders.

Finishing:

Close shoulder seams.

Sew in sleeves, join side and sleeve seams.

With crochet hook, work 1 row crab st (= sc from left to right) evenly around bottom edges of sleeves, front and back.
