Materials:

Yarn: 800 g (50% Wool, 50% Acrylic, yardage = 280m / 100g), 1 pair of knit needle size 3.5 mm (US 4), 12 buttons.

Reverse stocking stitch (Rev st st): Work RS rows P and WS rows K.

Rib Pattern: alt K1, P1.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.

Cable Pattern:

Work according to chart 1. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.

Repeat Rows 1-24 throughout.

Fancy Cables:

Work according to chart 2. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.

Work Rows 1-24 once throughout, then repeat continuously Rows 9-24.

Cable:

Work according to chart 3. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.

Repeat Rows 1-2 throughout.

Back:

Cast on 101 sts and work 6 cm in Rib Patt, inc 1 st on last WS row.

Raglan shaping: When piece measures 50 cm from cast on, bind off 4 sts at both ends, then 1 st on every 2nd row 22 times.

When piece measures 72 cm from cast on, bind off all sts.

Right Front:

Cast on 51 sts and work 6 cm in Rib Patt.

Cont as foll: selv st, 11 sts in Rib Patt for band, 2 sts in Rev St st, 18 sts in Cable Pattern, 18 sts in Fancy Cables, selv st.

Raglan shaping: When piece measures 50 cm from cast on, bind off 4 sts on left side, then 1 st on every 2nd row 22 times.

When piece measures 72 cm from cast on, bind off all sts.

While working band, make buttonholes.

Left Front: Work in reverse.

Sleeve:

Cast on 41 sts and work 6 cm in Rib Patt, inc 11 st evenly across last WS row.

Cont as foll: selv st, 16 sts in Rev St st, 18 sts in Cable Pattern, 16 sts in Rev St st, selv st.

For sleeve shaping, inc 1st at each end on every 8th row.

Raglan shaping: When piece measures 37 cm from cast on, bind off 4 sts once at both ends of sleeve, then 1 st on every 2nd row 22 times.

When piece measures 59 cm from cast on, bind off all sts.

Finishing:

Along raglan seams sew in sleeves, sew side seams, sew sleeves tog.

Collar: Pick up sts evenly around neck edge and work as foll: selv st, 6 sts in Rib Patt, * 2 sts in Cable acc to chart 3, P2, rep from * (on foll row P2, 2 sts in Cable), end with 6 sts in Rib Patt, selv st.

When piece measures 8 cm from beg, cont in Rib Patt on all sts.

When piece measures 10 cm from cast on, bind off all sts.

Sew on buttons.
