Oversize Cardigan with Leaf Pattern

How to knit  the Oversize Cardigan with Leaf Pattern:  

Size: US 8–10/ UK 12–14.  

Material:  

500 g of yarn (30% acrylic, 20% virgin wool, 50% mohair, 273 yd [250 m] / 3.53 oz [100 g]), knitting needles size 4 mm (US 6, UK 8).  

Reverse stockinette stitch: right side rows – purl stitches, wrong side rows – knit stitches.  

Work according to Chart 1, which shows only right-side rows.  

On wrong-side rows, work the stitches as they appear and purl the yarn overs.  

Work once from the 1st to the 22nd row, then repeat continuously from the 5th to the 22nd row.  

Work according to Chart 1 from the 15th to the 20th stitch.  

Work once from the 1st to the 22nd row, then repeat continuously from the 5th to the 22nd row.  

Work according to Chart 2, which shows both right-side and wrong-side rows.  

Repeat the 1st and 2nd rows.  

Cast on 36 stitches and work as follows: edge stitch, 10 stitches in stockinette stitch, 20 stitches in leaf pattern (front section repeat), 4 stitches in moss stitch, and 1 edge stitch.  

Work in this distribution for 50 rows.  

Then, for the sleeve on the right edge, increase 1 stitch 9 times in every 4th row, then 3 stitches 8 times, then once 12 stitches, and once 16 stitches.  

After this, work straight in stockinette stitch.  

After 5.5 in [14 cm] of stockinette stitch, bind off all stitches, keeping the 4 stitches in moss stitch for an additional 4.92 in [12.5 cm].  

Work the right front symmetrically.  

Cast on 84 stitches and work as follows: edge stitch, 12 stitches in reverse stockinette stitch, 6 stitches in cable, 9 stitches in reverse stockinette stitch, 28 stitches in leaf pattern (back section repeat), 9 stitches in reverse stockinette stitch, 6 stitches in cable, 12 stitches in reverse stockinette stitch, and 1 edge stitch.  

Increase for the sleeves on both sides as done for the fronts.  

Sew the neckline band to the back neckline.  

Sew the side seams and sleeve seams.  

From the lower edge of the sleeves, pick up stitches and work 1.97 in [5 cm] in moss stitch, then bind off all stitches.
