Boys' Pullover
Size: 92 cm in height (2-2.5 y/o).
Materials:
Yarn: 200 g (100% Acrylic, 230 m/100 g); 1 pair quick knit needles and 1 circular needle, both size 4 mm (US 6).
Garter stitch in rows: Knit on RS and WS rows.
Garter stitch in rnds: alt 1 rnd - K, 1 rnd - P.
Cable Pattern:
Work according to chart 1. RS and WS rows are shown with RS of work facing.
Numbers on the right indicate RS rows, on the left - WS rows.
Read RS rows from right to left, WS rows - from left to right.
Repeat rows 1 - 36.
Fancy Pattern:
Work according to chart 2. RS and WS rows are shown with RS of work facing.
Repeat rows 1-12 throughout.
Cable Pattern for Sleeve:
Work according to chart 3. RS and WS rows are shown with RS of work facing.
Repeat rows 1 - 30.
Instructions:
Work top down.
With circular needle, cast on 64 sts and join for working in rnds.
Work 40 rnds in gst.
Then divide work as foll: 16 sts for back, 16 sts for one shoulder, 16 sts for front, 16 sts for other shoulder.
Work shoulder as foll: add 1 selv st, 16 sts in Cable Pattern for Sleeve (beg with Rnd 3), 1 selv st.
Work 36 sts and place sts on a holder.
Rep for other shoulder.
Pick up 25 sts along side edge of shoulder, transfer 16 sts of front from holder to needles, and pick up 25 sts along side edge of other shoulder = 66 sts.
Cont to work as foll: selv st, 23 sts in Fancy Pattern, 18 sts in Cable Pattern acc to chart 1, 23 sts in Fancy Pattern, selv st.
Work 6 Fancy Pattern reps.
For band, work 10 rnds in garter st and bind off all sts.
Front: Work same sa back.
Sleeves:
Pick up 24 sts along side edge of front, transfer 16 sts of shoulder from holder to needles, and pick up 24 sts along side edge of back = 64 sts.
Then cont as foll: selv st, 23 sts in gst, cont to work 16 sts in Cable Pattern for Sleeve, 23 sts in gst, selv st.
For sleeve slants, dec 1 st 14 times each side every 4th row = 36 sts.
For band, after 66 rnds, work 20 more rnds in garter st and bind off all sts.
Rep for other sleeve.
Sew side and sleeve seams.
