Materials:

Yarn: 500 g (50% Wool, 50% Acrylic, yardage = 300m/100g), 1 pair of knit needle size 4 mm (US 6), zipper 37 cm.

Stockinette stitch (St st): work RS rows K and WS rows P.

Rib Pattern 1: alt K1, P1.

Rib pattern 2: alt K2, P2.

Basic Pattern:

Work according to сhart 1. RS rows and WS rows are shown.

Repeat Rows 1-12 throughout.

Hood Pattern:

Work according to сhart 2. RS rows and WS rows are shown.

Repeat Rows 1-4 throughout.

Back:

Cast on 74 sts and work in Rib Patt 2.

When piece measures 5 cm from beg, evenly inc 9 sts and cont in Basic Patt.

Armhole Shaping: When piece measures 23 cm from beg, bind off 5 sts at both ends and on every 2nd row 2 sts once and 1 st twice.

Cont even.

Neckline Shaping: When piece measures 38 cm from cast on, bind off center 19 sts and complete both sides separately.

For rounding at inside edge bind off 2 sts twice and 1 st once on every 2nd row.

When piece measures 41 cm from beg, bind off all sts.

Right Front:

Cast on 40 sts and work in Rib Patt 2.

When piece measures 5 cm from beg, evenly inc 7 sts and cont in Basic Patt.

Armhole Shaping: When piece measures 23 cm from beg, bind off 5 sts on left side and on every 2nd row 2 sts once and 1 st twice.

Cont even.

Neckline Shaping: When piece measures 35 cm from cast on, on right side bind off 7 sts and on every 2nd row 7 sts once, 5 sts twice, 3 sts once, 2 sts once and 1 st once.

Cont even.

When piece measures 41 cm from beg, bind off all sts.

Left Front: Work in reverse.

Sleeves:

Cast on 32 sts and work in Rib Patt 2.

When piece measures 4 cm from beg, evenly inc 10 sts and cont in Basic Patt.

Sleeve Shaping: Inc 1 st 12 times on every 6th row at each end.

Cap Shaping: When piece measures 29 cm from cast on, at both ends bind off 5 sts and then on every 2nd row 2 sts twice and 1 st 8 times.

When piece measures 34 cm from beg, bind off all sts.

Finishing:

Close shoulder seams.

Sew side and sleeve seams. Set in sleeves.

Band Shaping: Pick up sts along edges of fronts and work in St St.

After band measures 2 cm from beg, bind off all sts.

Pick up sts from WS of band and work in St St.

Sew in zipper.

Hood:

Pick up sts along upper edge of neckline and work 4 rows in Rib Patt 1.

Cont in Hood Pattern. Divide piece in half. P1 in the middle.

Hood Widening: Inc 1 st 10 times on every 8th row at each end of P.

Hood Narrowing: When piece measures 18 cm from cast on, dec 1 st 16 times at both ends of P on every 6th row.

When piece measures 27 cm from beg, bind off all sts.

Sew seam in the middle.

Pick up sts along upper edge of hood, work 4 rows in St st, 1 row P, 4 rows in St st and bind off sts.

Fold St st in half (WSR indicates fold line). Sew it on WS of hood.

Lacing: Make a crochet chain 150 cm long.

To tighten hood, draw lacing through opening.
