Girls Lace Cable Sweater Knitting Pattern

How to knit the Sweater with Lace Cables for Girl:
Size: 6–7 years (height 115–125 cm / 45–49 in).
Materials:
250 g yarn (55% cotton, 45% polyacrylic; 50 g/160 m / 174 yd); knitting needles 3 mm and 3.5 mm (US 2.5 and 4) and circular needles 3 mm (US 2.5); crochet hook 3 mm (US C-2); 4 beads for the cords.
Ribbing Pattern: alternate 1 knit stitch and 1 purl stitch.
Stockinette Stitch: right-side rows – knit stitches, wrong-side rows – purl stitches.
Lace Pattern:
Work according to chart 1, which shows right-side rows only.
On wrong-side rows, work the stitches as they appear, purl the yarn overs.
Repeat rows 1–46 throughout.
Vertical Cable Column:
Work according to chart 2, which shows right-side rows only.
On wrong-side rows, work the stitches and yarn overs purl.
Repeat rows 1–6 throughout.
Lace Cable Pattern:
Work according to chart 3, which shows right-side rows only.
On wrong-side rows, work the stitches as they appear, purl the yarn overs.
Repeat rows 1–28 throughout.
Gauge: 22 stitches x 27 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 in).


Back:
Cast on 91 stitches with 3 mm needles and work 2 cm (0.8 in) in Ribbing Pattern.
Continue with 3.5 mm needles in the following order: edge stitch, 8 stitches Stockinette Stitch, 19 stitches Lace Pattern, 4 stitches Cable Column, 2 purl stitches, 23 stitches Stockinette Stitch, 2 purl stitches, 4 stitches Cable Column, 19 stitches Lace Pattern, 8 stitches Stockinette Stitch, edge stitch.
At 38 cm (15 in) from the beginning bind off 3 stitches at each side for armholes and in every 2nd row bind off 1 x 2 stitches and 1 x 1 stitch = 79 stitches.
At 49 cm (19.3 in) from the beginning bind off the middle 25 stitches for the neckline and finish both sides separately.
For rounding at the inner edge bind off in every 2nd row 1 x 3 stitches, 1 x 2 stitches and 1 x the remaining 22 shoulder stitches.

Front:
Cast on 91 stitches with 3 mm needles and work 2 cm (0.8 in) in Ribbing Pattern.

At 38 cm (15 in) from the beginning bind off 3 stitches at each side for armholes and in every 2nd row bind off 1 x 2 stitches and 1 x 1 stitch = 79 stitches.
For the neckline at 46 cm (18 in) from the beginning bind off the middle 21 stitches and for rounding at the inner edge bind off in every 2nd row 1 x 3 stitches, 1 x 2 stitches and 2 x 1 stitch.
At 51 cm (20 in) from the beginning bind off the 22 shoulder stitches.
Sleeves:
Cast on 51 stitches, work 2 cm (0.8 in) in Ribbing Pattern, 2 rows Stockinette Stitch and 1 eyelet row for the cord (= edge stitch, * yarn over, work 2 stitches together knit *, repeat from * to *, edge stitch).
Continue in the following order: edge stitch, 9 stitches Stockinette Stitch, 2 purl stitches, 4 stitches Cable Column, 19 stitches Lace Pattern (repeat rows 9–38 only), 4 stitches Cable Column, 2 purl stitches, 9 stitches Stockinette Stitch, edge stitch.
For shaping increase at both sides every 12th row 5 x 1 stitch in Stockinette Stitch = 61 stitches.
At 35 cm (13.8 in) from the beginning for sleeve cap bind off 3 stitches at each side and in every 2nd row bind off 2 x 2 stitches, 2 x 1 stitch, 2 x 2 stitches, 2 x 3 stitches and 1 x the remaining 23 stitches.
Finishing:
Work shoulder seams.
Along the neckline from the right side pick up 92 stitches with circular needles, work 2 cm (0.8 in) in Ribbing Pattern and 2 cm (0.8 in) in Stockinette Stitch, then bind off stitches loosely.
Work side seams and sleeve seams, set in sleeves.
Crochet 2 cords as chains of 40–45 cm (16–18 in).
Thread the cords through the eyelet row at the lower edge of the sleeves and attach beads at the ends.
