Striped Dress in Lace Pattern

Sizes: M-L

Materials: 

350 g of yarn in light turquoise, and yarn in light yellow, dark yellow and violet, 50 g each colour (54% Cotton, 46% Viscose, yardage = 110 m/50 g); quick knit needles 4-5 mm (US 3.5-3.75), crochet hook size 4 mm (US G), and 10 buttons.

Rib Patt: K1, P1 Rib.

Lace Pattern:

Work according to chart 1. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.

Rep rows 1-24 throughout.

Cable Pattern:

Work according to chart 2. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.

Repeat rows 1-6 throughout.

Sleeve Pattern:

Work according to chart 3. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.

Repeat rows 1-4 throughout.

Gauge: 17 sts x 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Colour sequence: 

24 rows each color: light turquoise, dark yellow, light turquoise, violet, light turquoise, light yellow. 

Front: 

Cast on 83 sts and work 4 rows in Rib Patt.

Cont in Lace Pattern as foll: selv st, 5 sts before patt rep, work patt rep 7 times, end with 6 sts after patt rep, selv st. 

Armhole Shaping: When piece measures 65 cm from beg, bind off 3 sts once at each end, then 2 sts twice and 1 st once on every 2nd row = 67 sts. 

Neck Shaping: After 76 cm from beg, bind off center 21 sts and complete both sides separately.

For rounding at inside edge on every 2nd row bind off 3 sts once, 2 sts once, and 1 st once. 

When piece measures 81 cm from beg, bind off rem 17 sts for shoulder.

Back: 

Cast on 83 sts and work 4 rows in Rib Patt.

Cont as foll: selv st, 31 sts in Lace Pattern (5 sts before patt rep, work patt rep twice, end with 6 sts after patt rep), 19 sts in Cable Pattern, 31 sts in Lace Pattern, selv st. 

Shape armholes and neck as for front. 

Sleeves: 

Cast on 52 sts and work 6 rows in Rib Patt.

Cont as foll: selv st, 21 sts in Lace Pattern, 8 sts in Sleeve Pattern, 21 sts in Lace Pattern, selv st. 

Cap Shaping: When piece measures 11 cm from beg, at each end bind off 3 sts, then on every 2nd row bind off 2 sts once, 1 st 3 times, 2 sts twice, 3 sts twice, then bind off rem 16 sts. 

Finishing: 

Sew shoulder seams. 

With crochet hook and light yellow yarn, work 2 rnd sc (single crochet) around neckline. 

Sew side seams, sleeve seams and set in sleeves. 

Sew on buttons in the middle of back.
