Raglan Pullover with Long Back

Sizes: 10/12 (US 6/8).

Materials:

Yarn: 500 g (50% Wool, 50% Acrylic, yardage = 280 m/100 g); one pair quick knit needles and one circular needle, both size 3.5 mm (US 4).

Stockinette stitch (St st): Work RS rows K and WS rows P.

Rib Pattern: K2, P2 Rib.

Back: 

Cast on 56 sts and work in St st.

For rounding inc 1 st 25 times at each end on every 2nd row. 

Cont even. 

Raglan Shaping: When piece measures 42 cm from cast on, at each end bind off 2 sts once, then 1 st 28 times on every 2nd row. 

When piece measures 60 cm from beg, bind off all sts.

Front:

Cast on 106 sts and work in St st. 

Raglan Shaping: When piece measures 20 cm from cast on, at each end bind off 2 sts once, then 1 st 28 times on every 2nd row. 

When piece measures 26 cm from cast on, divide piece into 2 parts and complete both parts separately.

For neckline shaping at inside edge bind off 1 st 23 times. 

When piece measures 38 cm from beg, bind off all sts.

Sleeve: 

Cast on 42 sts and work 5 cm in Rib Patt. 

Cont in St st. 

Sleeve Shaping: Inc 1 st each side every 6th row. 

Raglan Shaping: When piece measures 30 cm from cast on, at each end bind off 2 sts once, then 1 st 28 times on every 2nd row. 

When piece measures 48 cm from cast on, bind off rem sts.

Finishing: 

Join raglan seams.

Sew side and sleeve seams. 

With circular needle, pick up sts evenly around lower edge of pullover and work 5 cm in rnds in Rib Patt. Then bind off all sts as they appear.

Neckband: Pick up sts along neckline edge and work 3 cm in Rib Patt. For V-neck, work s2kpo (= sl 2 tog kwise, K1, pass two slipped stitches over) in the middle of front on every RS row. 

Then bind off all sts in patt.
