Pullover with Pompoms

pulloverSizes: 16/18 (US 12/14).

Materials: 

Yarn: 500 g (100% Polyacrylic, yardage = 250 m/100 g); 1 pair quick knit needles and one circular needle, both size 4.5 mm (US 7).

Garter st (gst): k every row.

Lace Pattern: 

Work according to chart. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts and yos P.   

Gauge: 17.5 sts and 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back: 

Cast on 82 sts and work 4 rows in garter st.

Cont as foll: selv st, K10, 60 sts in Lace Pattern (= 2 pat reps), K10, selv st. 

Raglan Shaping: When piece meas 45 cm from beg, at each end, at the beg of every RS row, work * selv st, K2, 1 skpo*, at the end of row - *K2tog, K2, selv st*. Work rem sts in main pattern.   

Work raglan decs 20 times = 42 sts. 

When piece measures 60 cm from beg, bind off all sts.

Front: 

Work as given for back, but for the Neck Shaping, after 55 cm from beg, bind off center 16 sts and complete both sides separately.

Cont working raglan decs.  

For rounding at inside edge on every 2nd row bind off 2 sts 5 times, then bind off rem sts. 

Right Sleeve: 

Cast on 42 sts and work 4 rows in gst. Cont as foll: selv st, K10, 30 sts in Lace Pattern (= 2 pat reps), K10, selv st. 

After 9 cm from beg, for sleeve shaping, inc 1 st at each end on every 8th row 10 times = 62 sts.

When piece measures 46 cm from beg, at each end shape raglan stripes as for back. 

After 12 cm, on left side, cont to work raglan decs. On right side, bind off 3 sts once, 2 sts twice and all sts once on every 2nd row. 

Work in reverse for other sleeve.

Finishing: 

Join raglan seams. 

Neckband: With circular needle, cast on sts evenly around neck edge from WS and work 2 cm in rnds in St st, 1 rnd for fold - *yo, K2tog*, and 2 cm in St st.

Folding neckband along fold line, sew on open sts from RS. 

Work 2 pompoms 3.5 cm in diameter and 1 cord 85 cm long. 

Run cord through neckband fold row and attach pompoms at ends.  

Sew side and sleeve seams.
