Materials:

3 hanks of yarn (100% Mercerized Cotton, 500 m per hank); 1 pair quick knit needles size 3 mm (US 2.5) and 1 tapestry needle.

Rib Pattern: K1, P1 Rib. 

Stockinette stitch (St st): K on RS rows, P on WS rows. 

Fancy Pattern: Multiple of 12 + 3 selv sts. 

Work according to chart. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts and yos P.

Gauge: 

over St st: 21 sts and 33 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back:

Cast on 130 sts and work 5 cm in Rib Patt. Dec 43 sts evenly across last row = 87 sts.

Cont in Fancy Pattern. At each end, bind off 1 st 5 times on every 14th row.

After 31 cm from beg, inc 1 st twice each side every 18th row.

Armhole Shaping: When piece measures 49 cm from cast on, at each end bind off 4 sts once, 3 sts once and 2 sts once on every 2nd row. 

When work measures 20 cm from armhole beg, bind off all sts.

Front:

Work like back, but with deeper neckline. 

To do that, after 8 cm from armhole beg, bind off center 9 sts and complete both sides separately.

For rounding at neckline edge bind off 6 sts twice on every 2nd row. 

When work measures 20 cm from beg armhole, bind off sts. 

Sleeves:

Cast on 51 sts and work 5 cm in Rib Patt.

Continue in Fancy Patt.

Sleeve Slant: Inc 1 st 7 times on every 8th row each side. 

Cap Shaping: After 48 cm from beg, at each end, bind off 4 sts once, 3 sts once and 2 sts once on every 2nd row, then 1 stitch every 4th row 6 times, and then 5 sts every 2nd row twice.

Then bind off all rem sts.

Finishing:

Sew one shoulder seam and side seams. 

Pick up 110 sts evenly along neckline and work in Rib Patt. 

When band measures 4 cm from beg, bind off all sts. 

Sew second shoulder seam including neckband.

Sew sleeve seams and set in sleeves.
