Lace Yoke Sweater

Materials:
Yarn: 350 g (40% Alpaca, 60% Merino Wool); 1 pair quick knit needles and 1 circular knitting needle, both size 2.5.
Gauge: 24.5 sts and 29 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Back:
Cast on 101 sts and work as foll : selv st, p7, work patt rep 9 times in patt acc to chart 1, p7, selv st.
Cont until work meas 38 cm from cast on. Shape armholes: cast off 5 sts on 1 foll alt row, 3 sts on 1 foll alt row and 1 st on 2 foll alt rows = 81 sts. Cont in patt acc to chart 2 (= work patt rep 3 times + 19 sts of patt rep + 2 selv sts)
When work meas 58 cm from cast on, cast off centre 17 sts and complete both sides separately.
Cast off 5 sts on next alt row at neck edge, 3 sts on foll alt row and 2 sts on foll alt row.
At the same time, shape shoulders: cast off outer 7 sts on 2 foll alt rows and 8 sts on next alt row.
Front:
Work as given for back until work meas 51 cm from cast on. Cast off centre 15 sts and complete both sides separately.
Cast off 4 sts on next alt row at neck edge, 3 sts on foll alt row, 2 sts on foll alt row and 1 st on 2 foll alt rows.
Cont until work meas 58 cm from cast on. Shape shoulders: cast off outer 7 sts on 2 foll alt rows and 8 sts on next alt row.
Sleeve:
Cast on 51 sts and work in pat acc to chart 2 as foll : selv st, 5sts before patt rep, work patt rep 2 times, end with 4 sts after patt rep and 1 selv st.
Shape sleeve: Inc 1st at each end of 13 foll 8th rows = 77 sts.
Work new sts acc to patt.
Shape sleeve cap: When work meas 42 cm from cast on, cast off 5 sts at each end of next row, 3 sts on foll alt row, 1 st on 20 foll alt rows, 2 sts on foll alt row and cast off rem 17 sts.
Rep for other sleeve.
Finishing:
Join shoulder seams.
Neckband: Using circular needle, pick up 108 sts along neckline and work 12 rnds in gst. Cont until band meas 4 rnds and evenly dec 24 sts = 84 sts.
Cast off all sts.
Sew in sleeves, join side and sleeve seams.
