Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch:

Multiple of 7 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 16 sts (7 + 7 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows RS rows and WS rows.

Read RS rows from right to left, WS rows from left to right.

The pat rep = 7 sts wide.

Repeat patt between edge stitches throughout.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

p2tog: purl 2 stitches together

p2tog tbl: purl two stitches together as one stitch through the back loop

Row 1: edge st, * yo, k5, k2tog, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 2: edge st, * p2tog, p4, yo, k1, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, * p2, yo, k3, k2tog, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 4: edge st, * p2tog, p2, yo, k3, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * p4, yo, k1, k2tog, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 6: edge st, * p2tog, yo, k5, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * skpo, k5, yo, repeat from *, edge st.
