Fancy Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Fancy Stitch:

Multiple of 10 + 5 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 17 sts (10 + 5 + 2 edge sts) and work according to the chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, purl all sts.

The pat rep = 10 sts wide.

slip wyif: slip 1 pwise, leave yarn at front of work

Rows 1, 3, 5 and 7: edge st, * p5, slip wyif 5 times, repeat from * to last the 6 sts, p5, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, * slip wyif 5 times, p2, catch the next stitch together with the 4 front horizontal strands and purl together, p2, repeat from * to last the 6 sts, slip wyif 5 times, edge st.

Rows 11, 13, 15: edge st, * slip wyif 5 times, p5, repeat from * to last the 6 sts, slip wyif 5 times, edge st.

Row 17: edge st, p2, catch the next stitch together with the 4 front horizontal strands and purl together, p2, slip wyif 5 times, repeat from * to last the 6 sts, p2, catch the next stitch together with the 4 front horizontal strands and purl together, p2, edge st.

Work rows 1-18 once, then repeat rows 3-18 throughout.
