Cardigan in Mesh Pattern with Cables

Sizes: 10/12 (US 6/8).

Materials:

Yarn: 500 g (80% Acrylic, 20% Polyamide, yardage = 110 m / 100 g); 1 pair quick knit needles size 10 mm (US 15). 

Stockinette stitch (St st): work RS rows K and WS rows P. 

Reverse stocking stitch (Rev st st): Work RS rows P and WS rows K. 

Mesh Pattern with Cables: Work acc to charts. 

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.

Repeat from * to * throughout.

Band for fronts:  

Work according to chart. RS and WS rows are shown.

Repeat from * to * throughout.

Gauge: 

over St st: 11 sts and 15 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back:

Cast on 44 sts and work in Mesh Pattern with Cables acc to chart for back.  

After 56 cm from cast on bind off sts.

Right Front:

Cast on 25 sts and work as foll: 6 sts of band for front acc to chart, 19 sts in Mesh Pattern with Cables acc to chart for fronts.  

Neckline Shaping: When piece measures 38 cm from cast on, at right end bind off 1 st 6 times on every 4th row.  

Shoulder Shaping: When piece measures 56 cm from cast on, at left end bind off 12 sts. Cont in Rev St st on rem sts to shape neckband. 

After 11 cm bind off sts. 

Left Front: Work in reverse. 

Sleeves:

Cast on 30 sts and work in Mesh Pattern with Cables acc to chart for sleeve.  

After 48 cm from cast on bind off sts.  

Finishing: 

Close shoulder seams. 

Join band seam on back. Sew band to neck edge of back. 

Set in sleeves. 

Sew side and sleeve seams.
