Tunic with Eyelet Stripes

Tunic with Eyelet Stripes:

Size: XL.

Materials:

Yarn: 800 g (50% Wool, 50% Acrylic, yardage = 250 m/100 g); 1 pair quick knit needles size 5 mm. 

Garter st: RS and WS rows K.

Eyelet Stripes:

Work according to chart. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yo's.

Begin with edge st, work 5-st rep throughout, end with 2 sts after patt rep and edge st.

Work rows 1 - 6 once, then repeat rows 3-6 throughout.

Back:

Cast on 89 sts and work as foll: 6 sts garter st, 77 sts in Eyelet Stripes, 6 sts garter st.

When piece measures 35 cm from beg (at the height of the side cuts), work in Eyelet Stripe above the garter st.

When piece measures 60 cm from beg, work all sts garter st.

For the Armhole Shaping, after 70 cm from beg, bind off at each end 3 sts once, then on every 2nd row 2 sts once, 1 st once. 

Continue even.

For the Neck Shaping, after 16 cm from beg of the Armhole, bind off center 20 sts and complete both sides separately.

For rounding at inside edge, bind off on every 2nd row 1 st twice and bind off remaining shoulder sts on either side.

Front:

Work like back, but with deeper neckline.

For the Neck Shaping, after 9 cm from beg of the Armhole, bind off center 16 sts and complete both sides separately.

For rounding at inside edge, bind off on every 2nd row 1 st 4 times and bind off remaining shoulder sts on either side.

Sleeves:

Cast on 30 sts and work in garter st.

For the Sleeve Shaping, inc 1 stitch every 8th row 10 times at each end.

For the Cap Shaping, after 41 cm from beg, bind off on every 2nd row 3 sts 5 times at each end and bind off remaining shoulder sts on either side.

Finishing:

Sew shoulder seams.

Sew side and sleeve seams. Set in sleeves.

Neck Band: With circular needle, pick up sts evenly around neck edge and work 6 rnds garter st, then bind off all sts.
