Cotton Crochet Tunic
A Radiant Summer Tunic to Crochet by Hand
Size: US 8–10 / UK 12–14 (EU 38–40)

Material: 400 g of mercerized, unbleached, shiny 100% cotton yarn.

Front:
Begin by crocheting an elongated oval for the center according to Crochet Chart I.
Then crochet a chain of 50 stitches and work in the round around the oval.
Work straight along the sides and shape the ends symmetrically as shown in the chart.
Next, crochet around the oval along the sides using Crochet Chart II (do not crochet at the neckline anymore).
Then, follow Crochet Chart III according to the layout and continue once more with Chart III, starting lower down at the point marked with a cross in the layout (this is sufficient for the sides).
Now crochet 6 sun motifs using Crochet Chart IV, join them together and attach them to the bottom edge.
Work around the bottom edge of the sun motifs using double crochets (US) / trebles (UK).
Then continue downward with Crochet Chart III.
To increase the flare of the skirt, add more chain stitches in the gaps between the pattern repeats.

Back:
Simply crochet from top to bottom using Crochet Chart III.

Sleeves:
