Hat in Leaf Pattern

Head circumference approx 56 cm.

Materials:

Yarn: 150g (50% Wool, 50% Acrylic, yardage = 240 m/100 g). One set size 4 (3.5mm) double-pointed needles (dpns), one 4 (3.5mm) circular knitting needles, OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE.

Stocking stitch (St st): knit all round rows.

Rib Pattern: K1, P1 Rib.

Leaf Lace Pattern:

Work according to chart. Chart shows odd-numbered rnds and even-numbered rnds.

Work Rnds 1 - 44 once.

Gauge: 15 sts and 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Hat is worked in the round from the top down.

With dpn, cast on 12 sts (3-st rep 4 times). Join and pm for beg of rnd. 

Divide evenly on 4 needles and work in Leaf Lace Pattern for 44 Rnd.

Change to the circular needle as required.

Then work 3 cm in St st, evenly decrease 15 sts.

Cont 3,5 cm in Rib Pattern and bind off all sts.
