Beret and Dicky in Textured Pattern

Head circumference: 55 cm

Materials:

Yarn: 300 g (50% Wool, 50% Acrylic, yardage = 240 m/100 g); 1 pair quick knit needles and one circular needle, both size 4 mm (US 6).

Rib Pattern: K1, P1 Rib.

Beret Pattern: 

Work acc to сhart 1. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.

Repeat Rows 1-46 once.

Dicky Pattern: 

Work according to chart 2. Chart shows odd-numbered rnds.

On even-numbered rnds work all sts as they appear, work yos K.

Repeat Rows 1-16 once.

Beret:

Cast on 111 sts and work 4 cm in Rib Pattern. Inc 35 sts evenly across last WS row = 146 sts.

Cont in pattern acc to chart 1. 

Repeat Rows 1-46 once.

Chart shows decreases from Row 31. 

Draw rem sts tog with main yarn and fasten off. 

Sew neck seam.

Dicky:

With circular needle, cast on 132 sts (= 11 patt reps, 12 sts each) and join to work in rnds in Rib Patt.

When rib meas 20 cm, cont in pattern acc to chart 2. Inc 10 sts over p sts evenly betw patt reps on every 4th row. 

Repeat Rows 1-16 once.

Work along lower edge with crochet hook according to chart 3.
