Lace Diamond Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Diamond Stitch:

Work with multiple of 10 sts + 9 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 21 sts (4 + 10 + 5 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, purl all sts and yo’s.

The pat rep = 10 sts wide.

Begin with 1 edge st and 4 sts before patt rep, work patt repeat throughout, end with 5 sts after patt and 1 edge st.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Row 1: edge st, k4, * k5, yo, skpo, k3, repeat from * to last 6 sts, k5, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, yo, skpo, k2, * k3, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, skpo, k2, repeat from * to last 6 sts, k3, k2tog, yo, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, k1, yo, skpo, k1, * k2, k2tog, yo, k3, yo, skpo, k1, repeat from * to last 6 sts, k2, k2tog, yo, k1, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, (yo, skpo) twice, * k1, (k2tog, yo) twice, k1, (yo, skpo) twice, repeat from * to last 6 sts, k1, (k2tog, yo) twice, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, k1, yo, skpo, yo, * cdd, yo, k2tog, yo, k3, yo, skpo, yo, repeat from * to last 7 sts, cdd, yo, k2tog, yo, k1, edge st.

Row 11: work as for Row 7.

Row 13: work as for Row 5.

Row 15: work as for Row 3.

Repeat Rows 1-16 throughout.
