How to knit Lace Diamond Stitch:

Multiple of 10 + 1 + 2 selvage sts.

Cast on 23 sts (10 + 11 + 2 selv sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, purl all sts and yo’s.

The pat rep = 10 sts.

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Row 1: edge st, * k4, yo, cdd, yo (yarn over), k3, repeat from * to the last 12 sts, k4, yo, cdd, yo, k4, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, * k3, yo, k1, cdd, k1, yo, k2, repeat from * to the last 12 sts, k3, yo, k1, cdd, k1, yo, k3, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * k2, yo, k2, cdd, k2, yo, k1, repeat from * to the last 12 sts, k2, yo, k2, cdd, k2, yo, k2, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * k1, yo, k3, cdd, k3, yo, repeat from * to the last 12 sts, k1, yo, k3, cdd, k3, yo, k1, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, skpo, * yo, k7, yo, cdd, repeat from * to the last 10 sts, yo, k7, yo, k2tog, edge st.
