V-Neck Pullover in Checkered Pattern

Materials:

4 hanks of yarn (100% Acrilic, yardage = 230 m/100 g); 1 pair quick knit needles size 4 mm (US 6).

Rib Patt in rnds: alt K2, P2.

Checkered Pattern:

Work according to chart. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.

Rep rows 1-16 throughout.

Back: 

Cast on 88 sts and work in Checkered Pattern.

Armhole Shaping: When piece measures 45 cm from cast on, at each end dec 3 sts once and 2 sts twice on every 2nd row. 

Neckline Shaping: When piece measures 65 cm from beg, bind off center 28 sts and complete both sides separately.

At the same time, for shoulder slants bind off 8 sts twice at each end. Then bind off rem sts for shoulder.

Front: 

Work like back, but with V-neck as foll:

After 48 cm bind off center 2 sts. Then dec 1 st 13 times at each end of neck on every 2nd row.

When piece measures 65 cm from beg, bind off for shoulders same as for back.

Sleeve: 

Close shoulder seams.

Pick up 83 sts evenly along armhole edge and work in Checkered Pattern. At both ends dec 1 st 14 times on every 4th row = 55 sts.

After sleeve measures 18 cm from beg, bind off all sts.

Neck Band: With circular needle, pick up 133 sts evenly around neck edge and work in Rib Patt.

At the same time, in the center of front, work s2kpo (= sl 2 tog kwise, K1, pass two slipped stitches over) on every 2nd row.  

After 4 cm from beg, bind off sts in Rib Patt.
