Sweater with Fancy Pattern

Size: 10 (US 6)

Materials:

Yarn: 400 g (50% Wool, 50% Acrylic); one circular needle size 3 mm.

Rib pattern 2/1: * K2, P1, repeat from * throughout.

Stocking stitch (St st): Work RS rows K and WS rows P.

Fancy Pattern:

Work according to chart. The chart shows only Right Side rows.

On Wrong Side rows, work all sts as they appear, purl yo's.

Repeat Rows 1-16 throughout.

Back:

Cast on 106 sts and work in Fancy Pattern.

For the Armhole Shaping, after 48 cm from beg, bind off at each end 3 sts, then on every 2nd row 2 sts once and 1 st twice.

When piece measures 70 cm from beg, bind off all sts.

Front:

Work as given for back except for neckline.

For the Neck Shaping, after 64 cm from beg, bind off center 15 sts and complete both sides separately.

For rounding at inside edge, bind off on every 2nd row 3 sts once, 2 sts once and 1 st 3 times.

When piece measures 70 cm from beg, bind off remaining shoulder sts on either side.

Sleeves:

Cast on 40 sts and work 5 cm in Rib Pattern 2/1 for border.

Continue working in St st throughout.

For the Sleeve Shaping, increase 1 stitch on every 8th row 18 times at each end.

For the Cap Shaping, after 45 cm from beg, bind off at each end 3 sts once, then on every 2nd row 2 sts once, 1 st 12 times and 2 sts once..

When piece measures 63 cm from beg, bind off all sts.

Finishing:

Join right shoulder seam.

Collar: Pick up sts evenly around neck edge and work 20 cm in Rib Pat 2/1, bind off all sts in rib.

Sew left shoulder seam and collar seam.

Sew in sleeves, join side and sleeve seams.
