Vest with Diamond Lace Pattern

Materials:

Yarn: 330 g (30% Acrylic, 70% Wool, yardage = 400 m/100 g); 1 pair each quick knit needles sizes US 1,5 (2,5 mm) and US 2,5 (3 mm) and one circular needle size US 00 (2,5 mm).

Stockinette stitch (St st): work RS rows K and WS rows P.

Rib Pattern: 

Work according to chart 1. RS and WS rows are shown.

Rep rows 1 - 4 throughout.

Diamond Lace Pattern: 

Work according to chart 2. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear, yos P.

Beg with 1 selv st and sts before patt, rep patt, end with sts after patt and 1 selv st.

Repeat Rows 1-12 throughout.

With all decs make sure that yos and ktog sts even out with in pat.

Gauge: 

26 sts and 34 rows = 10 x 10 cm over Diamond pat with 3 mm needles.

vestBack: 

With 2,5 mm needles cast on 123 sts and work 18 Rows in Rib Patten. 

Change to 3 mm needles and work in Diamond Lace Pattern.

Armhole Shaping: In Row 97 from Diamond Pattern beg, bind off at each end 5 sts, then on every 2nd row 3 sts once, 2 sts once and 1st twice = 99 sts. 

Work 120 R from Rib Patt in Diamond Lace Pattern and cont in St st.

Neck Shaping: In Row 153 from beg, bind off on every 2nd row center 27sts and 5 sts twice at both neck edges.

In Row 176 from beg, bind off rem 26 shoulder sts on either side.

Front:

Work as for Back.

Neck Shaping: In Row 123 from beg, bind off center 19 sts, then on every 2nd row 4 sts once and 3 sts once at both neck edges.

In Row 176 from beg, bind off rem 26 shoulder sts on either side.

Finishing:

Sew shoulder seams. 

Sew side seams.

Neck Band: With 2,5 mm needles pick up and knit sts evenly around neck edge and work 10 rows in Rib Pat, then bind off all sts.
