Size: 14 (US 10).

MATERIALS

Yarn: 500 g (50% Wool, 50% Acrylic, yardage = 123 m/100 g); one circular needle size 5 mm (US 8), crochet hook size 5 mm (US H), 5 buttons.

Stocking stitch (St st): work RS rows K and WS rows P.

Rib Pattern: alt K1, P1.

Herringbone Pattern:

Work according to chart 1. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts and yos P.

Work rows 1 - 14 once, then rep rows 11 - 13 throughout.

Leaf Pattern:

Work according to chart 2. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts and yos P.

Work rows 1 - 22 once.

Gauge: 13 sts and 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Integrally-knitted Right Front, Back and Left Front:

Cast on 126 sts working long-tail cast on, work 10 rows in Rib Patt.

Then work 48 rows as foll: selv st, K5, 114 sts in Herringbone Pattern, K5, selv st.

Then divide as foll: 29 sts - right front, 10 sts - armhole (bind off sts), 48 sts - back, 10 sts - armhole (bind off sts), 29 sts - left front.

Back:

Work 4 rows in St st.

Then work 22 rows as foll: selv st, 17 sts in St st, 13 sts in Leaf Pattern, 18 sts in St st, selv st.

Next, work 4 rows in St st.

On Row 79 from Rib Patt, bind off all sts.

Right Front:

Place the sts on holder to needles and work 30 rows in St st.

Neckline Shaping: On Row 49 from Rib Patt, after 6 sts from edge, bind off 1 st on left side, then 1 st twice on every 7th row.

On Row 79 from Rib Patt, bind off rem 26 shoulder sts.

Left front: Work as Right Front.

Finishing:

Sew shoulder seams.

Neck Band: Pick up 136 sts along each front and back neckline and work 12 rows in Rib Patt.

On Row 13 bind off all sts.

With crochet hook, work 1 rnd sc (single crochet) along all edges, work 5 buttonhole loops on left front with 5 chain sts.
