Sizes: 8/10 (US 6/8).
Materials:
Yarn: 200 g (40% Wool, 60% Acrylic, yardage = 100 m/100 g); one pair quick knit needles and one circular needle, both size 7mm (US 10,5).
Rib Pattern: *K2, P2, repeat from * throughout.
Diagonal pattern:
Work according to chart. Only RS rows are shown.
On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.
Repeat Rows 1-8 throughout.
Gauge: 13 sts and 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Back:
Cast on 62 sts and work 14 rows in rib pattern for border.
Continue in Diagonal Pattern.
For the Side Slants, on the 5th row from Rib Patt, increase 1 st each side, then every 6th row 8 times more = 80 sts.
For Sleeve Shaping, on Row 59 from Rib Patt, increase 3 sts at each end = 86 sts.
For the Shoulder Shaping, on Row 81 from Rib Patt, increase 4 sts each side, then every 2nd row 4 sts 5 times more = 80 sts.
On Row 93 from Rib Patt, place rem sts on holder.
Front: Work same as back.
For Neck Shaping, on Row 81 from Rib Patt, place center 28 sts on holder and bind off 1 st 5 times at both ends from them.
For the Shoulder Shaping, on Row 81 from Rib Patt, increase 4 sts each side, then every 2nd row 4 sts 5 times more.
On Row 93 from Rib Patt, all sts have been used up.
Left shoulder: Work in same way.
Finishing:
Sew shoulder and side seams.
For the Neck Band, place the sts on holder to circular needle, pick sts along front neck edge on either side = 96 sts and work 8 rnds in Rib Pat and bind off all sts.
For the Armhole Bands, with circular needle, pick up and k 48 sts evenly around armhole edge and work 4 rnds in Rib Pat, then bind off all sts.
