Leaves Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Leaves Stitch:

Work with multiple of 10 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 13 sts (1 + 10 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side rows.

On WS rows, work sts as they appear and yo's P.

The patt rep = 10 sts wide.

Begin with edge st and stitch before patt rep, work patt rep throughout, end with edge st.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Row 1: edge st, p1, * p2, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, skpo, p3, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, p1, * p1, k2tog, yo, k3, yo, skpo, p2, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, p1, * k2tog, yo, k5, yo, skpo, p1, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 7, 9 and 11: edge st, p1, * skpo, k2, yo, k1, yo, k2, k2tog, p1, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 13: edge st, p1, * yo, skpo, k5, k2tog, yo, p1, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 15: edge st, p1, * p1, * yo, skpo, k3, k2tog, yo, p2, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 17: edge st, p1, * p2, yo, skpo, k1, k2tog, yo, p3, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 19, 23 and 27: edge st, p1, * p3, yo, cdd, yo, p4, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Row 21 and 25: edge st, p1, * p3, k3, p4, repeat from * to last stitch, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-28 throughout.
