Lace Cardigan with 3/4 Sleeves

Size: 10/12 (US 8/10).

Materials:

Yarn: 400 g (100% Wool, yardage = 300 m/100 g); 1 pair quick-knit needles size 2,5cm, one crochet hook size 2,5 cm. 

Gauge: 24 sts and 27 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Garter stitch: Knit on RS and WS rows.

Lace Pattern 1:

Work according to chart 1. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear, purl yo's.

Repeat Rows 1-4 throughout.

Lace Pattern 2:

Work according to chart 2. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear, purl yo's.

Work Rows 1 - 16 once, then repeat Rows 3 - 10 throughout.

Cable Pattern:

Work according to chart 3. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.

Repeat Rows 1-4 throughout.

Back:

Cast on 103 sts and work 1 WS row purl.

Then work in foll divisions: edge st, 5 sts in Cable Patt, 11 sts in Lace Patt 2, 5 sts in Cable Patt, * 19 sts in Lace Patt 1, 5 sts in Cable Patt, 11 sts in Lace Patt 2, 5 sts in Cable Patt, repeat from * one more time, edge st. 

For the Armhole Shaping, after 51 cm from beg, bind off at each end 6 sts once, then on every 2nd row 5 sts once and 4 sts once = 73 sts. 

For the shoulder shaping, after 72 cm from beg, bind off on every 2nd row outer 9 sts twice and 8 sts once on both sides.

At the same time, bind off center 11 sts for neck and finish both sides separately.

For rounding at inside edge, bind off on every 2nd row 2 sts twice and 1 stitch once.

Right Front:

Cast on 67 sts and work 1 WS row purl.

Then work in foll divisions: edge st, P1, 5 sts in Cable Patt, 19 sts in Lace Patt 1, 5 sts in Cable Patt, 11 sts in Lace Patt 2, 5 sts in Cable Patt, 19 sts in Lace Patt 1, edge st.

After 51 cm from beg, work Shape Armhole on the left side as for Back = 52 sts.

For the Neck Shaping, after 57 cm from beg, bind off at each end 6 sts once, then on every 2nd row 5 sts once and 4 sts once = 73 sts. 

For the Shoulder Shaping, after 72 cm from beg, at left edge bind off on every 2nd row 9 sts twice and 8 sts once.

Left Front: Work in reverse.

Sleeves:

Cast on 63 sts and work 1 WS row purl.

Then work in foll divisions: edge st, 5 sts in Cable Patt, 11 sts in Lace Patt 2, 5 sts in Cable Patt, 19 sts in Lace Patt 1, 5 sts in Cable Patt, 11 sts in Lace Patt 2, 5 sts in Cable Patt, edge st.

For the Sleeve Shaping, after 10 cm from beg, inc 1 stitch each side every 4th row 5 times = 73 sts.

For the Cap Shaping, after 23 cm from beg, bind off at each end 6 sts once, then on every 2nd row 3 sts once, 2 sts once and 1 st 16 times.

When piece measures 38 cm from beg, bind off rem 19 sts.

Finishing:

Sew shoulder and side seams.

For Neckband, pick up sts along neckline and work 10 rows in garter st.

Crochet 3 rows of sc (single crochet) along the vertical edges of Fronts.

Sew sleeve seams and set in sleeves.
