Diamond Cable Knitting Pattern

How to knit Diamond Cable Pattern:

Work with multiple of 12 stitches + 4 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 30 stitches (10 + 12 + 6 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side rows.

On Wrong Side rows, work all sts as they appear.

The patt rep = 12 sts wide.

Begin with 1 edge st and sts before patt rep, work patt rep throughout, end with sts after patt and 1 edge st.

C4F: slip 2 sts to cable needle, hold to front, K2, K2 from cable needle

C4B: slip 2 sts to cable needle, hold to back, K2, K2 from cable needle

C4Fp: slip 2 sts to cable needle, hold to front, P2, K2 from cable needle

C4Bp: slip 2 sts to cable needle, hold to back, K2, P2 from cable needle

Set-up Row 0 (WS): p4, k2, p2, * p2, k2, p4, k2, p2 *; repeat from * to *; p2, k2, p4, edge st.

Rows 1 and 5 (RS): edge st, k4, p2, C4B, * p2, k4, p2, C4B *; repeat from * to *; p2, k4, edge st.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows: work each stitch as it appears on this side of work (k the k sts and p the p sts).
