Blue Vest in Lace Pattern

Sizes: L-XL

If only one no. specified, it refers to both sizes.

Materials: 

Yarn: 300 g (15% Wool, 35% Angora, 50% Acrylic, yardage = 303 m/100 g); quick knit needles sizes 2.5 mm and 3 mm (US 1.5 and 2.5); 5 buttons.

Gauge: 22 sts and 31 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Rib Pattern: alt K1, P1 Rib.

Lace Pattern:

Work acc to chart. Only RS rows are shown. On WS rows, work sts and yos P. 

Repeat Rows 1-32 throughout.

Back: 

Cast on 120 (128) sts + 2 selv sts and work 3 cm in Rib Patt for band. 

Cont with 3 mm needles in Lace Pattern.

After 60 cm place sts onto holder.

Left Front: 

With 2.5 mm needles, cast on 60 (64) sts + 2 selv sts and work 3 cm in Rib Patt for band.

Cont with 3 mm needles in Lace Pattern.

For armholes, after 30 cm dec 10 sts at right end. 

At the same time, for neckline slant, after 10 cm from beg of armholes, bind off 1 st at left end on every 4th row = (32) 36 sts. 

After 30 cm from beg of armholes, place rem sts onto holder.

Right Front: Work in reverse.

Finishing: 

Graft shoulder seams (using Kitchener stitch). 

Pick up 100 sts along armhole edge and work 3 cm in Rib Patt. 

Bind off sts. 

Sew side seams. 

For band, cast on 20 sts, work in Rib Patt, then sew to edges of fronts and neckline. 

Work buttonholes evenly spaced on right front. To do that, bind off 1 st and cast it on again on foll row.

Sew on buttons.
